In port of Odesa is watching ‘high season’ of passenger traffic. Several companies operating 12 vessels with a capacity from 24 to 250 people invite the citizens to join the pleasure trips from the berths of the passenger terminal. From the beginning of navigation until the end of May, they carried out almost 65,000 passenger operations. This was reported by Odesa branch of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (OB SE USPA).

‘In general, all six berths of the New pier and the Cabotage mole, which belong to the Passenger Terminal, are being docked all the year,’ Oleg Klymenko, the head of the Passenger Terminal said. - In addition, there are pleasure boats and tugs of four towing companies here, which came to us after demonopolization by the Law on Ports of the Tug Services Market. Traditionally, Passenger Terminal is the area for floating cranes and tugboats of companies engaged in offshore cargo transshipment. As for the reconstructed berths No. 16-17, so called the ‘sea façade’ of Odesa, which are traditionally reserved for servicing a large cruise fleet, they also operate with a maximum utilization rate. In the spring, the dredging fleet was based here, the cruise river-liners Viking-Sineus and Princess of the Dnieper are moored now. In one and a half week, they will be hauled with watercrafts to free up the space for accepting ships participating in the international military exercises Sea Breeze 2019.’

According to O. Klimenko, for the period of Sea Breeze, a ‘full house’ is expected at the Passenger Terminal, the entire mooring front from the Cabotage harbor will be cleared for the deploying of naval ships of Ukraine, Great Britain, Canada, Turkey and Romania. Due to the exercises, all passenger boats, tugboats and floating cranes will be provided with a place for temporary dislocation in other port harbors.
